'We Listen' group invites GPV to visit

Posted by

We were invited by Anne to attend the monthly drop in session of her support group ‘We Listen’. Also visiting was the MP for Thamesmead and Erith, Teresa Pearce. We listened to Anne’s talk on the challenges of bringing up a child with autism and shared our experiences. Teresa was particularly interested to hear about the challenges families face when there are siblings in the family without a disability and how parents manage to meet the different needs of their children.

We Listen is a support group for Black Minority Ethnic families and it meets on the third Friday of the month at Waterways Children’s Centre in Thamesmead. For more information on the group see the Parent Support page.
