New! Carers Centre opens for relaxation and pampering

We are pleased to report that the long-awaited Carers Centre has opened, offering carers in Greenwich the chance to relax and recharge, with spa treatments and restful opportunities in a beautiful brand new facility – all at really affordable prices.

One of our members went on the launch day on Friday to see what’s in store for us all:

“I had a great day on Friday at the opening of the new Carers Centre. Any one who is a carer can become a member and use the centre. There’s a Bistro, spa and hairdressing salon in lovely brand new facilities. There is an outside seating area which was enjoyed by everyone as it was a lovely warm day. They have rooms which can be used for relaxing in or playing board games or doing jigsaws. There is also a room with a small cinema which they show films, inlcuding those of interest related to disabilities or issues of interest to carers. The centre is also available to hire for events. They have staff that can help people with a range of issues related to our caring responsibilities or just to talk. I would recomend that members of Greenwhich Parent Voice go and visit to see if they want to become members and make use of the place.”

We’re already impressed and will be making a trip down there soon. Why not pop along and tell us what you think? The Centre can be used by carers on a membership basis (free to join) and the treatments are all very inexpensive. There are options for minibus hire for lager groups, and special support for older or disabled carers.

The Carers Centre is based at
