GPV school visits this term

Posted by

GPV visits schools across the borough every term to host coffee mornings specifically for parents of children with special needs. You don’t need to have a statement or plan for your child to join us. We usually bring a guest speaker on a topic that’s relevant for example ASD Outreach, the SaLT service or a charity such as Young Epilepsy. Our meetings are relaxed, informal, chatty and we always make sure there are hot drinks and cakes supplied! Some of the meetings below are open to all parents across Greenwich.

29 September: Alexander McLeod Primary School SE2 with guest from STEPS outreach service speaking about dyslexia support.
11 October: Bishop John Robinson School SE28.This termly meet up is hosted by Jo Tontoh (Parent Leader for GPV) and is of special interest for parents and carers from black minority ethnic families with any kind of SEN or disability in the Thamesmead area.
21 October: Waterside School SE18. Guest to be confirmed
18 November: Millennium Primary School SE10.Guest speaker from the Dyslexia Association of Greenwich, Lewisham, Bexley and Bromley. Open to all Greenwich parents.

Contact your SENCO or speak to us about holding a GPV coffee morning at your school. We are always looking to arrange regular dates, if you would like to set up a termly group as a Parent Leader for GPV please email us here
