    All parents and carers are invited to our next school coffee morning on 13 November at 10am at James Wolfe Primary School, Royal Hill Campus, Greenwich SE10 8RZ.     5 December: Knit, Stitch and Make! a new GPV drop-in group

    Come to our free drop in group for parents called Knit Stitch and Make. It will be held in The Parlour (a cosy private room) at the Scullery Cafe, 48 Vanbrugh Park, London SE3 7JQ. The group is free to attend and the next session is on 5 December from 1-2.30pm and we hope to run this monthly.     In a recent training event for school professionals led by Greenwich council, we gave a presentation to an audience of Headteachers, Inclusion Leaders and SENCOs. It described the work that GPV does supporting parents in schools. We spoke about the challenges parents of children with special needs face, how they live with confusion, anxiety, exhaustion and sometimes social exclusion, and how this can result in complete disengagement when it comes to educating their child.     Information sessions on the Education Health and Care Plan

    If your child has a Statement of Educational Need, then you are invited to free sessions giving you a complete heads-up on the the new EHCP (Education Health and Care Plan) which will replace all Statements by the end of 2018. Many parents are still in the dark about the EHCP and the wider SEND Reforms.     24 October: An Autumn Walk with GPV

    Now the leaves are starting to turn golden, step out into the beauty of Greenwich Park with GPV. On 24 October at 10am we will be meeting for a gentle stroll together. The oldest enclosed Royal Park, Greenwich dates back to 1427 and offers spectacular views across the river to St Paul’s Cathedral and beyond.
