    We are pleased to be able to tell you the dates for the new schedule of Short Breaks sessions delivered by Charlton Athletic Community Trust for children age 11-18 (or 25 with a Plan) from September 2016 – March 2017. Short breaks are fun activities for your child out of the home, that provide you with a break from caring.     The GPV Summer Picnic is this week! We will be spreading out the rugs on the lawns of the Tudor Barn in Eltham on Wednesday 6 July at 11am to 1pm. The weather forecast is for some patches of sun and no rain! This ancient building is only surviving Tudor Barn in London and dates back to the 16th century making it a true hidden gem in Royal Greenwich.     Greenwich Parent Voice are proud to be putting the finishing touches to our new Gift and Information Packs for parents of children with special needs and disabilities. We’ve spent the past year working on the packs which are designed to give parents, especially those with a new diagnosis, a much needed boost and clear route to information that can help them navigate those confusing early days.   6. Willow Dene parents ramble with GPV

    Today we joined Willow Dene parents in a magical woodland ramble near their school. Fully kitted out in wellies and walking shoes we ventured off the beaten track, through the brand new-new forest school area and into the wild woods next to Dukes Farm. It was really good fun. We helped each other navigate the paths, branches and undergrowth, even fording a small stream.   9. Update: Summer scheme for complex needs

    Some of you will be aware that there have been some last minute changed to the provision of the summer scheme options for children 11-25 with complex needs. Now finally the plans have been confirmed: the the Charlton Park Academy Transition Summer Play Scheme will be the ONE and ONLY scheme, incorporating the CACT summer play scheme, and will be based at Charlton Park Academy.     Chris Eather, formerly of Activ Kids, is now running new weekend and activity scheme for children and young people studying at Charlton Park Academy.
